Also, every now and then we engage in some direct participatory democracy in the form of e-submissions, or cyber actions.  This usually involves a simple email form aimed at a slected target where you can enter your name and email addess and hit the send button. The target, usually a member of government, then recieves hunreds of protest messages or submissions on our chosen topic. Context utlied this method to great effect during the FRI Genetically Engineered Pine Trees submission rounds delivering about 700 submissions to the NZ governments Environment Risk Management Authority ERMA.
