Earth Films and Plight of the Redwoods Campaign have joined together, again, in a collaborative  partnership to  organize  a educational tour featuring  the new blockbuster  film Tree Sit- The Art of Resistance. This feature length film chronicles the dramatic story about the ongoing destruction of ancient forest ecosystems from California to Alaska and the growing movement to stop it.

Earth Films is a non profit educational video and  media project that specializes in the production and distribution of environmental and social issue documentaries.

Plight of The Redwoods Campaign (http://redwoods.bullhorn.org/ significantly facilitated in bringing out the issues from behind the "redwood curtain" to the east coast and global venues.  Northern California Forest Defender Redwood Mary, via  Plight of The Redwoods Campaign, has helped to educate about  the work of Earth Films and about the story of those working in courageous struggle to protect the last of the world's redwood forests.  "Luna-The Story of the Stafford Giant & Julia Butterfly's Treesit", " Fire In The Eyes",  and  "The Timber Gap"  have been featured in  over one hundred  screenings to community based organizations, universities and schools during The Plight of The Redwoods Campaign's 1998, 1999, 2000 & current   educational tours. Plight of the Redwoods Campaign and affiliated networks of partnerships and organizations  have also facilitated the screening of  Earth Films videos on over 3 dozen cable TV shows across the U.S.

Earth Films and Plight of The Redwoods Campaign  encourages organizations to collaborate with other groups, share resources and join  in this grass-roots effort  to help organize a nationwide tour to premiere this film at universities, rep house theaters and to as many  audiences as possible,  nationally & internationally.

Earth Films's James Ficklin and Penelope Andrews, film makers/media activists; and  Redwood Mary, founder of  Plight of The Redwood Campaign, will be working with various networks and going  on  tour to present  sneak previews  of " Tree  Sit" - The Art Of Resistance" - a compelling testament to where the efforts of many have come together to take a peaceful  stand for protecting what they love.
